The canvas is unlined. Inspection under UV light reveals scattered sensitively executed spots of retouching in a number of places, notably in the upper right and lower right corners and in a number of spots elsewhere in the centre of the canvas. There are some losses and flaking to the paint at the extreme edges and corners in places, in particular the upper right and lower right corners. There is some light craquelure in some of the thicker areas of paint, only visible upon close inspection. There is some light frame abrasion, in particular to the right edge. There is some light surface dirt. The work is in overall good condition.
