GOLD AND DIAMOND 'SCARAB' NECKLACE AND CUFF-BRACELET
The openwork necklace composed of a series of oval motifs set with round diamonds, featuring three gold scarabs, and a matching cuff-bracelet of sprung design, total gross weight approximately 220 dwts, necklace internal circumference 14¼ inches, bracelet internal circumference 5½ inches, expandable, signed Cartier, necklace numbered 625140, bracelet numbered 622018, with French assay and workshop marks.
Each in good condition, the mountings with surface scratches and scuffs commensurate with wear, and a few small areas of discoloration, predominantly to the reverse and not noticeable when worn. Each with French assay marks for 18 karat gold. The diamonds in the necklace estimated to weigh a total of approximately 14.75 carats, and the diamonds in the bracelet estimated to weigh a total of approximately 12.30 carats, are approximately G-H color, VVS-VS clarity. Gross weight of the necklace approximately 154 dwts; gross weight of the bracelet approximately 66 dwts. To open clasp, pull safety tab upwards, then pull main clasp tab downwards from the top by slipping your nail into the groove. Width of the necklace approximately 1⅜ x ¾ inch; width of the bracelet approximately 1⅜ inches. The bracelet is sprung, allowing it to accommodate a wrist of up to approximately 6½ inches.
