number 4 from an edition of 8

patinated bronze

signed and dated ©JKM '09 and numbered 4/8

17 5/8 x 42 x 17 5/8 in. (44.8 x 106.7 x 44.8 cm)

Overall in very good condition. This highly sculptural bench presents with a rich patinated surface ranging in coloration from maroon red to gilt bronze, which is deeper and more nuanced when viewed firsthand compared to the printed catalogue illustration. The patina with some occasional and extremely minimal areas of discoloration concentrated to the edges and not visually distracting. The patinated bronze surfaces present with some very minor surface and casting irregularities inherent to production and not visually distracting. The bronze with scattered minor surface scratches, abrasions, and discolorations consistent with age and use. An incredibly playful design by the animalier American Studio artist.
