Overall in very good condition. Offered en suite with the preceding lot, the present “Bambou” chair presents with a stunning organic structure and beautiful leaf rendering on the seat and backrest. When viewed firsthand, the gilt bronze displays a warm and nuanced golden palette. The bronze presents with occasional scattered extremely minor surface scratches, abrasions, and minor discolorations consistent with age and gentle handling, and with some occasional minor casting flaws and minute pinholes inherent to the making and not at all visually distracting. The gilt bronze surface with extremely minute verdigris marks which are not visible unless the chair is closely inspected. The recessed areas with extremely minor soiling and discoloration consistent with age. The seat and backrest are slightly convex as intended by the artist to facilitate use and seating. The chairs are stable and functional.
