RON ARAD | MINI "ARMADILLO" LIGHT
MINI "ARMADILLO" LIGHT
circa late 1980s
produced by One Off, London
steel, honeycomb aluminum
32¼ in. (81.9 cm) high
24½ in. (62.2 cm) maximum width of shade
Overall in very good condition. This table lamp model is a rare example of an early Ron Arad. The steel base presents with a variegated patina ranging from russet brown to dark grey as well as surface irregularities inherent to production.
The honeycomb aluminum overall is undisturbed and in original condition. There are some occasional and very superficial areas of abrasions or slight dimples concentrated consistent with age and gentle use. Sotheby's does not guarantee the functionality and/or the voltage compatibility for electrical wiring, and suggests having all electrical components inspected by a licensed electrician.
