A 'LONGQUAN' CELADON-GLAZED FIGURE OF BUDAI

YUAN / MING DYNASTY

元 / 明 龍泉窰青釉布袋和尚坐像



the deity modeled in a reclining pose, leaning against a brimming cloth sack, wearing voluminous robes loosely tied below the waist and falling open revealing a bare chest and ample belly, covered overall in a grayish-green glaze save for the jovial face, torso, hands and feet reserved in the reddish-brown biscuit
