the deep lobed sides applied with floral rosettes, supported by four guardian figures on a stepped base, covered overall with a vibrant green glaze

Height 13 cm, 5⅛ in.

There is over-painting to a crescent shaped area of the rim covering four of the lobes and small areas of glaze degradation characteristic with burial.

The dating of this lot is consistent with the result of a thermoluminescence test, Oxford authentication Ltd., no. C205e75.
