Inscribed A. Rodin À Mon Ami Deschamp, numbered 5/8, and inscribed with the foundry mark Georges Rudier. Fondeur. Paris.

Bronze

Height: 15 1/4 in. (38.7 cm)

Conceived circa 1885 and cast in a numbered edition of 8 plus 4 artist's proofs by the Georges Rudier Foundry, Paris. This example cast in 1986.

This work will be included in the forthcoming Auguste Rodin catalogue critique de l'oeuvre sculpté currently being prepared by the Comité Auguste Rodin at Galerie Brame et Lorenceau under the direction of Jérôme Le Blay under the archive number 2011-3680B.

Please note that this work is numbered 1/8, and not 5/8.
