“I acquired this photograph directly from Aaron in 1994. Ancient wall painting or water stain? It's often made me think of a very coarse figurine from Chontal culture. There have been many dozens of Siskind photographs in my hands over the years but this one holds mystery and associations that have kept my attention for over 25 years." - Robert Klein
