The cream satin evening bag and belt adorned with various gemstones including cabochon rubies, citrines, emeralds, garnets, and amethyst, embellished with intricate embroidery, the evening bag with a silver gilt ropetwist frame, opening to reveal a compartment with two pockets, one containing an unsigned satin coin purse, the other with a mirror, evening bag dimensions 7 x 4½ x 1½ inches, signed VCA NY, numbered 30V29A-77, belt length 32 inches, unsigned. 

Each item in overall good condition, the fabric with signs of wear and discoloration, predominantly to the edges of each and the bottom of the bag, and with a few small areas of loose threads, and the gilt embroidery, silver-gilt frame and chain with some discoloration, not immediately noticeable when worn. Frame of evening bag inscribed Sterling for sterling silver. The gemstones in a range of hues and tones, many of decorative quality and heavily included with surface reaching inclusions, especially the rubies and emeralds, as is typical of cabochons. Width of the belt from approximately 4 to 2½ inches.
