the rectangular writing box with overhanging cover and canted corners, decorated in gold, silver and black hiramaki-e, takamaki-e, togidashi-e, kinpun, hirame and inlaid silver in Igarashi style, with cherry blossom and tachibana before a stepped corridor, the interior with plum blossom beneath a silvery moon, the fitted trays continuing the design and also decorated on the base, fitted copper-gilt water dropper, inkstone with fundame rim
