One page on a slip of paper (4 1/2 x 7 3/8 in.; 116 x 190 mm), [Williamsburg?], 10 November 1754; soiled, laid down closing some fold separations, a few words faded from dampstaining.

Washington authorizes payment of sixty-nine pounds to Major Carlyle. This payment was probably for room and board or some expenses related to the same. The document is dated just a few days following his resignation, and Washington orders that Carlyle be paid out of back pay due to him.
