24 1/4 in. (61.6 cm) diameter of shade

Overall in very good condition. The shade displays bamboo leaves in a range of bright green tones over a misty white background. The bamboo shoots are slightly less orange when viewed firsthand compared to the printed catalogue illustration. The shade with approximately 5 hairline cracks dispersed throughout, stable. The shade with some minor traces of surface soiling concentrated to the contours adjacent to the leadlines consistent with age. The shade with five tiles which appear to have been sensitively replaced at some point in the history of the piece with well-matched glass. The “Bamboo” base is in overall very good condition and presents with a beautifully variegated patina when viewed firsthand. The bronze surfaces display a particularly rich russet-brown patina, with scattered minor surface scratches and abrasions throughout consistent with age and gentle use. The outer perimeter of the base with a small white scuff, only visible upon close inspection. With period sockets and paddle switches. With a period “Bamboo” finial in very good condition. A robust and graphic form with impressive sculptural presence when viewed firsthand.
