Condition Report

Overall in very good condition. The wrought-iron surfaces with scattered minor surface scratches, abrasions, and wear throughout consistent with age and gentle handling. The wrought-iron surfaces with traces of surface soiling and oxidation throughout and concentrated to the recessed contours of the design. The decorative “bird cage” calls with some minor bending. The glass shades with scattered minor air bubbles, particulate inclusions, and surface irregularities inherent in the making and not visually distracting. One blue shade with a loss to the lower aperture. The pressed glass shades with some surface soiling and minor bending to the cames surrounding their perimeters. One of the pressed glass shades is a slightly darker, more ochre hue. All of the hanging componentry appears to be original. An elegant, complex, multi-tier chandelier depicting grapevines and flowers formerly in the collection of Louis C. Tiffany.
