IN THE STYLE OF ANDRÉ ARBUS
PAIR OF BEDSIDE TABLES
25¼ x 23½x 13¾ in. (64.1 x 59.6 x 35.5 cm) each
Overall in very good condition. The oak surfaces present with expected signs of age and gentle use in the form of light surface scratches, minor surface irregularities, occasional areas of discoloration (some on both tabletops as a result of prior contact with water) as well as scattered and minor indentations concentrated to the tabletops, side edges and feet of both pieces. One tabletop with a ring mark measuring approximately 6 3/4 inches in diameter. The other tabletop with a very small burn mark measuring approximately 1/2 inch long and not visually distracting. The proper right, lower side of one table is missing a wood piece measuring approximately 1 x 1/2 inch, which appears to have been lost at some point in the history of the piece and does not affect the stability or integrity of the overall structure. The drawers are fully functional and enriched with brass knobs in excellent, age-appropriate condition. An elegant French mid-century pair ready for use and display.
