Condition Report

Overall in very good condition. This superb table with skilfully executed carved details includes a lidded coffret with small compartments. The wooden surfaces retain their rich variegated texture and present with very small surface scratches throughout as well as light surface abrasions concentrated to the base, feet and to one corner of the tabletop consistent with gentle use. Three areas of the tabletop appear to have been sensitively restored at some point in the history of the piece, the largest area measuring approximately 1 1/2 in. wide and not visually distracting. The original key opening the coffret was lost at some point in the history of the piece and as a result the coffret does not fully close.
