Barcelona artist Okokume (Laura Mas) is best known for her signature character Cosmic Girl, a pink-haired spirit with turquoise skin who travels in space and tends to the planets in need and restore them to their former glory. Her creation is to raise the viewer's awareness and loving care towards our living home, earth.

The present work shows her Cosmic Girl deep in thoughts as she looks over her shoulder gazing at what lies beyond the composition in the viewer's space. Echoing the work's title, Time Flies, her pensive expression urges viewers to reflect on their everyday life, cherish the people and things that surround them which are often, if not always, taken for granted and could change and parish in the blink of an eye.

Okokume has widely exhibited in galleries and art fairs in cities around the world including Hong Kong, Tokyo, Taipei, Seoul, Los Angeles and Berlin, to name but a few. Her biggest solo exhibition to date was held in 2018 at the K11 Art Mall in Hong Kong and had recently collaborated with the celebrated Belgium based Hong Kong artist Kasing Lung at a pop-up show in Tokyo in 2019.

新晉藝術家 Okokume來自西班牙巴塞隆納，以其筆下所創名為Cosmic Girl的宇宙小精靈聞名。她的小精靈有著果綠色的皮膚和粉色長髮，長期在太空遊歷，為有需要的星球伸出援手，希望療愈並回復星球昔日原始的光輝。Okokume希望透過繪畫此人物喚醒人類對地球此家鄉的關注及愛護。

本作中的小精靈一臉納悶，她回眸靜視，貌似盯著畫外觀者的所在空間若有所思，似乎想要引起觀者對自身環境的關切。或許她如畫作標題所描，慨嘆時間的飛逝，籲觀者對周遭的人與事更給予珍惜和重視，以免在稍縱即逝後才驚覺錯過，後悔莫及。

Okokume曾於香港、東京、台北、首爾、洛杉磯及柏林等大城市的畫廊及藝術節展出作品。2018年於香港K11購物藝術館舉辦的個展為至今最大型展覽，而其在2019年與位居比利時的香港籍藝術家龍家昇於日本東京合作舉辦聯展。
