A POST-NASRID IVORY AND BONE INLAID WALNUT CASSONE 'ALLA CERTOSINA', PROBABLY VENICE OR BARCELONA, LATE 15TH/EARLY 16TH CENTURY

inlaid with bone and ivory and wood tesserae, the front decorated with three square panels featuring an inlaid stellar design with a criss-cross frame, two vases between emanating a floral bouquet, surrounded by geometric tendrils, metal key-hole and key, hinged top and sides with geometric stellar roundels, hinged lid with similar design underneath and geometric border, reverse plain, with inner shelf
