Condition report

Terracotta. The sculpture is sound. Attractive light brown patina. There is no evidence of retouching visible under UV light. There is a small chip (approx. 1 cm wide) with associated terracotta loss (visible in the catalogue illustration) to the left part of the figure’s left-hand thigh. There is some minor wear to the patina to the most protruding elements. There is some dust in the crevices and a few small chips to the extreme edges of the base. There are a few superficial scratches in areas. There is a small crack to the drapery below the model’s hands, possibly due to the firing process. This work is in overall good condition.
