gelatin silver print, mounted to Hi-Art illustration board, signed in pencil on the mount, titled and annotated 'For Sue and Otto Love Ansel Adams 2-14-71' in ink and the photographer's Carmel studio stamps (BMFA 7 and 8), titled and dated in ink, on the reverse, framed, an Andrew Smith Gallery, Sante Fe, label on the reverse, 1958, printed circa 1971

This print, mounted to Hi-Art illustration board, is in generally excellent condition. Visible under very close examination are 2 faint scratches near the lower center edge. The mount is slightly darker at the periphery of the image.


On the reverse, there are abrasions in each corner and at the center left and center right edges.


Karen Haas's and Rebecca Senf's book, 'Ansel Adams in the Lane Collection,' publishes the most comprehensive list to date of the studio stamps and labels Adams used throughout his career. Although the authors' assessment of the use dates of stamp 7 on the reverse of the moun are 1963 through 1973, the inscription on the present photograph dates it to 1971,
