Reflections at Mono Lake, California
oversized gelatin silver print, mounted on Nat Mat board, framed, 1948, printed circa 1968
image: 20 1/8 by 26 1/2 in. (51.1 by 67.3 cm.)
frame: 38 by 43 in. (96.5 by 109.22 cm.)
This photograph, on paper with an eggshell surface, is in generally very good condition. There is a faint gray line along each edge, possibly graphite transference from a previous window mat. There is a tiny chip at the lower left edge, and the lower left corner is rubbed.
The mount is brittle and age-darkened at the edges and there are abrasions throughout. There are graphite dry-mounting guidelines at the upper left and upper right edges.
The following is written in an unidentified hand in pencil on the reverse: 'mount chip mat AA'; 'AA/1694'; and 'S [underlined]'. The reverse is foxed, stained, and there are multiple abrasions.
