Arabic manuscript on paper, 344 leaves plus 4 fly-leaves, 14 lines to the page, written in naskh in black ink, ruled in blue, red, green and gold, verses separated by gold and polychrome rosettes, verses separated by gold and polychrome rosettes, surah headings in riqa against a coloured ground within cartouches, re-margined, polychrome and gold hisb and sajdahs markers in the margins, f.1b and f.2a with an illuminated frontispiece, in brown leather gilt binding, the doublures decorated with a cut out bunch of flower within an almond-shaped medallion against a blue and green ground
text panel: 18 by 10.3cm.
leaf: 25 by 16.2cm.
The Qur'an has been re-margined in the Qajar period, minor stains and rubbing throughout, some losses to the illuminations, restorations to the paper, as visible especially towards to the end, minor cracks and damages to the binding, as viewed.
