Arabic manuscript on paper, 269 leaves plus 2 fly-leaves, 30 lines to the page, written in naskh in black ink, the Persian interlinear in red nasta’liq, ruled in black and gold, verses separated by gold and polychrome rosettes, surah headings in red riqa against a gold ground within cartouches, gold and polychrome verse markers in the margins, later Qajar marginal texts in shikasteh within gold cartouches, f.1b and f.2a with an illuminated frontispiece, in lacquer binding
