Arabic manuscript on paper, 306 leaves plus 2 fly-leaves, 22 lines to the page, written in naskh in black ink within clouds against a gold ground, ruled in black and gold, verses separated by gold and polychrome rosettes, surah headings in red riqa against a gold ground within cartouches, juz and nifs markers in the margins, marginal texts in nasta’liq within clouds against a gold ground, f.1b and f.2a with a polychrome and gold incipit frame, in lacquer binding decorated with flowers with leather spine
text panel: 7.5 by 3.6cm.
leaf: 9.7 by 5.2cm.
The margins are clean, minor damages to the edges of the paper, some stains and minor tears and folds, some rubbing and losses to the illuminations, the lacquer binding with some scratches and losses, as viewed.
