ii. Teti, Carlo. Discorsi delle fortificationi, espugnationi, & difese delle città, & d'altri luoghi. Vicenza: Giacomo de' Franceschi, 1617, woodcut printer's device on title-page, woodcut initials and illustrations (some double-page), 3 folding woodcut plates, with blank leaves, X2 torn with loss of half the leaf, some leaves loose

2 works in one volume, folio (346 x 230mm.), Teti bound first, contemporary English calf, blue edges, binding somewhat worn

Capobianco's work on artillery was first published in 1598. He was captain of artillery for Crema and he demonstrates knowledge of Tartaglia's work on ballistics. For a later edition of Capobianco, see lot 21, and for earlier editions of Teti, see lots 319 and 437.
