AN ITALIAN PIETRE DURE, MARBLE AND EBONIZED WOOD CABINET-ON-STAND LATE 19TH CENTURY


the central panel depicting a vase with flowers below an arch, flanked on each sides by six drawers, cabinet with base associated

cabinet: 86cm. high, 81.5cm. wide, 34cm. deep;

stand: 87cm. high., 92.5cm. wide, 35cm. deep

Condition Report

In overall good conserved condition. Minor age cracks and scratches throughout to ebonized surface. On the top left handside of the arch, one break to the tip of the scroll, which has been repaired. The arch of the top drawer with one veneer lifting to top right, and the bottom right shows signs of a previous break, but has been repaired. One piece of moulding missing to each of the front feet. Evidence of old woodworm activity which no longer appears to be active. Colour of the stones slightly less intense than catalogue photograph.
