gilded full plate movement with alterations, fusee and chain to the going train, verge escapement, pierced and engraved double-screwed balance bridge, standing barrel to the striking train with four hammers for strike and repeat on a single bell, silence lever at XI, signed Markwick Markham Perigal, London, No. 1184, dial, white enamel, Turkish numerals signed as the movement, pierced and engraved inner case, maker's mark LFF surmounted by a crown, pierced and engraved outer case
Movement running at the time of cataloguing, not striking, lacking strike cord. Enamel dial with multiple chips to the edge. Later hands. Scuffs and indentation to the inner case, bow heavily tarnished. Outer case heavily tarnished, scuffs and indentations throughout.
