This extraordinary objects shows signs of age and wear. There are losses to some decoration, one of the key escutcheons included. There are dents and prangs and it appears the back top left corner has come into contact with something solid. Losses to surface finish. Some stains from liquid (see catalogue photograph). Some traces of rust. An impressive and very decorative piece.
