Vintage NASA “Red Number” chromogenic print, 10 by 8 inches, “A Kodak Paper” watermark, press captions printed in purple to verso. NASA image ID “NASA S-66-62926” printed in upper left margin in red; minor toning, slight curling.


Pilot Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin photographed with the hatch of the spacecraft open, and the Earth in the background. Along with Command Pilot Jim Lovell, Gemini XII successfully demonstrated that astronauts could effectively work outside of a spacecraft.
