There is craquelure throughout with associated paint flaking, predominantly along the upper edge. There are a number of paint losses to the sky. Some further flecks of paint loss are scattered along the bottom edge. There are frame abrasions with associated paint loss along the edges. There is a faint vertical scratch along the right edge. Some further nicks and surface abrasions can be seen in places. The surface is covered in a layer of dirt with spots of dirt in places. Inspection under UV light reveals no obvious signs of retouching. Held in a gold-painted wooden frame with decorative mouldings. Unexamined out of frame.
