Original canvas. There are frame abrasions with associated paint loss along the edges. There is craquelure in places, most noticeably on the left side of the composition as well as to the snow and grey water surface. There is a faint scratch to the road along the left edge as well as a few tiny flecks of paint loss to the blue pigment in the lower right corner. The surface is covered in a light layer of dirt with spots of dirt in places. Inspection under UV light reveals areas of retouching along the left edge as well as some scattered retouching to the grey and white pigments around the house and among the trees on the right. Held in a silver painted wooden frame. Unexamined out of frame.
