Original canvas, which is slightly buckling in places. Faint stretcher bar marks are visible along the top and bottom edges. There are very fine cracks to the paint surface in places. There is a tiny dent to the snow to the right of the tree trunk. Frame abrasions with minor associated paint loss are visible along the edges. The surface is covered in a layer of dirt with spots of dirt in places. Inspection under UV light reveals no obvious signs of retouching. Held in a gold painted wooden frame with decorative mouldings.
