Condition Report

Property from Various Owners is available to view at the Sotheby’s Greenford Park warehouse, 13 and 16 – 18 September (10 - 4pm), by appointment.

The canvas is lined, the paint surface is slightly dirty and the varnish slightly discoloured. The painting is in overall very good condition. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals retouching along all four margins, but very little other intervention, save for retouching to two small superficial scratches, one in the background upper left, the other coming down from the head of the pheasant on the right, 6cm. long.

The lot is sold in the condition it is in at the time of sale. The condition report is provided to assist you with assessing the condition of the lot and is for guidance only.
