Condition Report

Property from Various Owners is available to view at the Sotheby’s Greenford Park warehouse, 13 and 16 – 18 September (10 - 4pm), by appointment.

The panel is uncradled, and formed of three vertical planks. The paint surface is relatively dirty, and shows a degree of wear throughout. There is a vertical split which runs the height of the panel just right of centre, with associated small losses and retouchings. The panel joins are faintly visible to the naked eye and also have associated retouchings along them. There are further discoloured retouchings scattered throughout. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals an uneven, fluorescing varnish, making it difficult to discern anything further than what is visible to the naked eye, save for the extent of retouching in the upper right sky. In overall moderate condition.
