Condition Report

Property from Various Owners is available to view at the Sotheby’s Greenford Park warehouse, 13 and 16 – 18 September (10 - 4pm), by appointment.

The bevelled panel is uncradled, flat and stable. The paint surface shows a degree of slight wear. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals retouchings scattered throughout, mostly following the horizontal wood grain. There are more concentrated retouchings along the left margin and the arch just to the right of this, in the dark garments of the central standing figure, in the face of the figure playing the trumpet and the chest he sits on, along the right section of the upper margin, and in the face of the child on the right. In overall fair condition.
