Overall the condition of the bronze is good with minor dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. The bronze is cast in sections and a joint is slightly visible to Saint Michael’s neck, where there is also a small plug. There are scratches to the surface, in particular to Saint Michael’s proper left arm, proper left upper leg and proper right leg. There is a minor casting fissure to Saint Michael’s proper right calf. There is minor rubbing to the bronze to some of the high points. There is a patch of a darkish residue to Saint Michael's stomach.
