The capital is an architectural fragment. There is general dirt and wear to the capital consistent with age, including particular surface wear at the high points and edges. There are a number of chips and abrasions to the carved decoration. There is lichen to the surface throughout. There are losses to the edges of the separate later marble base and various abrasions and scratches.
