Window mounted on japan paper which has subsequently been hinged to a modern cream mount. There is evidence of some minor surface dirt to the old vertical fold to the centre of the sheet and some small circular brown stains to the upper centre. There is some slight staining/surface dirt to the upper corners. There is also some scattered staining to the verso. The media remains in robust condition throughout and the paper retains its original vibrant blue color. Sold unframed.

This large and striking, double sided landscape drawing appears to be in the artistic spirit of works produced at the Prague court of the Emperor Rudolf II, and is also reminiscent of certain drawings that have sometimes been attributed to Joos de Momper.
