SAPPHIRE AND DIAMOND RING, CARTIER
Set with an emerald-cut sapphire weighing 15.92 carats, flanked by two bullet-shaped diamonds, size 6½, partially signed Cartier.
Accompanied by AGL report no. 1103613 dated September 13, 2019 stating that the sapphire is of Ceylon origin, with no indications of heating.
In good condition, with light wear to the mounting, commensurate with age. Mounting tests as platinum. Shank interior partially signed 'Ca'. The sapphire is medium light in tone, blue hue, and of medium saturation, slight to moderate color zoning, eye-clean with subtle reflection from silk zones, with abrasions to a pavilion facet visible through the table, small chips to the girdle. The diamonds weighing a total of approximately 0.80 carat are approximately F-G color, VVS-VS clarity. Accompanied by AGL report no. 1103613 dated September 13, 2019 stating that the sapphire is of Ceylon origin, with no indications of heating.
