UNTITLED

signed and dated 1990

oil on paper over a printed base

sheet: 76 by 57cm.; 30 by 22½in.; image: 48.5 by 43.5cm.; 19 by 17in.

Condition Report

The sheet is secured to the mount with adhesive tabs at the upper and lower edges. The edges of the sheet are deckled. The sheet undulates very slightly throughout. There are Artist's pinholes in the upper corners. The sheet appears to have been stapled at some point, and there are staple marks in the upper left corner and the centre of the left edge. The sheet is very slightly stained at the extreme edges. There is craquelure to the thicker areas of pigment, throughout the central passage. This is most apparent in the brown and yellow pigment; there are probably some minor flecks of associated loss. There is some very light surface dirt throughout. This excepting, the work appears in good overall condition.

The sheet is float mounted, held behind glass in a simple wooden frame.
