Property from the Antoinette and Patrick Murphy Collection
FRANK AVRAY WILSON
signed with initials
oil on board
30.5 by 12.5cm.; 12 by 5in.
The board appears to be sound. There are one or two incredibly fine lines of craquelure in the thicker areas of impasto, but these are only visible upon extremely close inspection. There is some light surface dirt throughout and some evidence of studio matter. This excepting the work appears to be in excellent overall condition.
Inspection under ultra violet light reveals no obvious signs of fluorescence or retouching.
The work is held within a gilded wooden slip within a further canvas board.
