DAME LUCIE RIE
impressed with Artist's seal
stoneware with white glaze and maganese lip
height: 6.5cm.; 2½in.
Executed circa the 1950s.
Structurally sound. There is a tiny nick to the inside rim of the bowl, visible upon close inspection. Elsewhere there are some minor imperfections to the glaze, in keeping with the nature of the Artist's techniques and materials, and some surface scratching to the glaze, most probably owing to the bowl having been used in the past. This excepting the work appears in good overall condition.
