Arthur Murray was an American ballroom dancer and founder of his famed eponymous chain of dance studios. Students of Murray's included Eleanor Roosevelt, the Duke of Windsor, John D. Rockefeller Jr., Cornelius Vanderbilt Whitney and Barbara Hutton, among others.
