10 mezzotint engravings, each approx. 542 x 385mm., loose and untrimmed, a few with the watermark of C&I Honig or J. Kool (Dutch papermakers), a few marginal creases


Stenglin (1715-1770) was an engraver from Augsburg who went to work in Russia in 1743, where he spent the remaining decades of his life. The portraits include Mikhail Fedorovich, Boris Godunov, Ivan Vasilievich (the Terrible) and Peter the Great.
