with gently rounded sides resting on a tapered foot, delicately painted around the exterior in 'boneless' style with clusters of floral blooms and buds, including ruby and pink peonies, and pale indigo-blue chrysanthemums, emerging from the ground beside jagged rockwork, with a multi-coloured butterfly fluttering nearby, the base with a six-character reign mark within a double circle in underglaze blue
Diameter 14.6 cm, 5¾ in.
There is a ca. 4cm long hairline above the butterfly with an associated 0.5cm wide retouched shallow chip on the rim extending into the sides of the bowl. There is ca. 1cm long very fine hairline extending from the rim into the sides above the clusters of purple-blue flowers, which has a flake to the enamel, a similar hairline above the leaf to the right, and a cross-shaped line to the base, all visible under the UV light.
