12mo (3 3/4 x 6 1/8 in.; 95 x 156 mm). Minor foxing. Original full green cloth, covers decoratively ruled and stamped in blind, spine gilt lettered; some spotting, spine just sunned, minor dampstaining to endleaves. In custom marbled paper over board slipcase.

The present volume is a scarce juvenile work, the narrative of which is framed as a blind father telling his son about the lives of Oliver Cromwell, Samuel Johnson, Sir Isaac Newton, Benjamin West, and Ben Franklin whilst still in their boyhood.
