oil on canvas
44 by 32 in.

Lined. The work presents very well with vibrant colors. Extremely faint craquelure across picture surface. The edge of the original canvas is partially visible along upper edge; there is also minor frame abrasion with remnants of a gold frame. Frame abrasion (with some minor associated discoloration) along the right edge. Under UV: varnish fluoresces green unevenly and in a streaky manner, which makes the surface quite hard to read. There is some scattered fine inpainting to address prior craquelure on the figure's neck and costume; a very few dots of retouching on the blue head scarf; an old small, circular area of inpainting at upper right; three horizontal lines of repair extending from the left edge; and brushy inpainting to address prior frame abrasion in the upper left corner and at the lower right edge. Ready to hang in its current state.
