As the first timepiece in the F.P. Journe collection fitted with a 39mm tantalum case — a rare, hard-to-machine dark grey metal with subtle blue hues, named for Greek mythology and prized for exceptional corrosion resistance, durability and biocompatibility — this Chronomètre Bleu boasts impeccable chronometric precision alongside a minimalist design.
Its striking blue chrome dial resembles a vivid blue mirror, accented by floating cream-toned large Arabic numerals and matching hands, restyled to reflect contemporary aesthetics. Powered by the brand’s signature 18K rose gold manual-wind mechanical movement, it is equipped with twin parallel barrels that deliver a steady 56-hour power reserve. Very GoodThe watch is in very good overall condition with very minor signs of surface wear. The movement is running at the time of cataloging, however, it was not tested for the accuracy of time or duration of the power reserve and may need service at the buyer's discretion. Please note that Sotheby's does not guarantee the future working of the movement.
