Etching and drypoint, 1648, a good impression of New Hollstein's first state (of five), unframed

Condition

With thread margins at the upper and right sheet edges, trimmed on the plate mark at the left and lower sheet edges, in generally good condition, overall paper discoloration (presumably associated with an early restoration treatment), three small skilfully repaired tears at the lower and right sheet edges (the longest measuring approx. 7mm), an area of paper thinning at centre towards the lower sheet edge, a small made up area at the lower right corner, areas of paper thinning at upper right and lower left corners, unframed.
