• Movement: gilt bar movement, lever escapement, 13 jewels, bi-metallic compensation balance, gold cuvette signed Des Fruy, Genève and numbered 28093• Dial: white enamel, Roman numerals, outer minute ring, recessed subsidiary seconds, blued steel hands• Case: 18ct gold, the front cover with polychrome enamel painted miniature of an officer, the cartouche framed by a decorative border of opaque white, light blue enamel and green translucent enamel, back with polychrome enamel painted miniature of a lady within similar framed border, back with case maker's mark LFC incuse, case back and cuvette numbered 28093, case front numbered 93

Condition

Movement: running at time of cataloguing but would probably benefit from a service. Some tarnishing to the plates. Dial: appears to be in good overall condition, some very minor chipping to the very edge of the dial below 7 o'clock. Case: portrait of the gentleman with small area of enamel repair to upper left edge. Portrait of the lady with chipping to the very edge of the scene at left centre, right centre edge and top right edge. Some small losses, cracks and repairs to enamel borders. Some rippling to inner edge of gold covers.
